Word of the Day

Ambivalence: (n.) simultaneous conflicting feelings. Ambivalent: an adjective derived from the previous. Quite useful.

As in “My current political stance is ambivalent,” or “I often experience ambivalence when I contemplate the complicated idea of marriage and its manifold repercussions.”

There you are – enjoy! Use boldly! Never fear the catachresis boogey-man!

May the peace of Christ be with you today,

RKP
