kettleIt’s all in the name – I am an aspiring word-artist/writer (among other things) and a person in search of both meaningful connections and of meaningful expressions to help facilitate such connections, as well as to help individuals (especially myself) think more about and practice better the art of “living well”…

Hence this blog.

Which derives it’s name from the following quote:

Whereas the truth is that fullness of soul can sometimes overflow in utter vapidity of language, for none of us can ever express the exact measure of his needs or his thoughts or his sorrows; and human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars.

–Gustave Flaubert, Madame Bovary

All topics are fair game for tapping, but I usually tend towards the literary/poetical, contemplative, and contemporary socio-political.

Thank you, thank you for reading and – thereby – listening to me tap away; however imperfectly, I always strive to do so
Sincerely,

R.K.
